For 30 years WWE Superstar The Undertaker has fully lived the gimmick. Since his retirement from in ring performance in late 2020 Mark Calaway, the man behind the phenom, has stepped into the spotlight giving us peeks into his real life and sharing stories from his decades on the road. Even though we know we can’t expect him to get back into the ring, Calaway does not seem quite ready to leave the WWE Universe to…well…rest in peace just yet. We now have an idea what the next move for The Deadman might be. The WrestleVotes Twitter account reported that WWE and Peacock have convinced The Undertaker to give podcasting a go.
It appears that this new podcast might be similar to Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions although no official format information has been released. As someone who watched every episode of the Undertaker: The Last Ride documentary series and his TedTalk-like WWE Hall of Fame acceptance speech I would imagine Calaway’s podcast would be less interviews and more like story time for the wrestling legend. Given that Peacock is involved it does seem safe to say that this will be video format for the streaming service. I can’t wait to gather ‘round the hell-fires and listen to whatever the American Badass wants to share with us!
