It’s no secret that some companies like Zoom and Slack grew exponentially during the pandemic. Video and chat services quickly became an everyday part of our remote lives, and certainly Slack hopes they will continue to be a part of work culture as people navigate their return to office.
Slack reinforces that position with interactive brand messaging and game play in their hybrid hang / virtual work space at SXSW.
IRL Hang Space
The vibes were bright and beachy at the Slack activation including the best love seat / chair duo I’ve ever seen. Complete with a food truck, many people were enjoying a quick stop here as they walked through downtown Austin.
And like all good activations, Slack included a photo opp with a followup email to learn more about their #DigitalHQ.
Interactive Brand Messaging
On the far side of the activation, Slack installed a four-sided cube promoting their “work-from-anywhere” position, and highlighting one of their fan favorite features – emojis. Each side had interactive elements from choosing your favorite emoji to emoji buttons and finally a choose your own adventure emoji game complete with prizes!
Winner, Winner!
Our crew landed a couple of notebooks and this awesome pair of Slack logo socks.
