Scott Derrickson’s 2021 hit coming-of-age horror ‘The Black Phone’ will be getting a sequel and, potentially, a franchise. Two years after the original’s release, Universal and Blumhouse have revealed that the estimated drop date of ‘The Black Phone 2’ is June 27, 2025.

‘The Black Phone’, directed by ‘Sinister’ filmmaker Scott Derrickson and writer C. Robert Cargill, tells the story of Finney Blake (Mason Thames), a teenager living in suburban 1978 Denver, Colorado. He is the latest abductee of deranged serial killer The Grabber (Ethan Hawke).
