Here’s something we didn’t see coming! Award-winning NEON studio has announced a sequel to the phenomenal 2014 horror game changer It Follows. Writer/director David Robert Mitchell will be at the helm for the sequel, titled They Follow and Maika Monroe will reprise her horror icon-making role of Jay Height.
The original film tracksJay after she is “infected” with a supernatural deadly stalker caused by a sexual encounter. In 2024, it seems, the threat is now EVERYWHERE.

NEON plans to introduce the title to international buyers this week at AFM, with principal photography beginning in 2024. NEON will co-produce the film alongside Good Fear Content. Mitchell serves as a producer with Jake Weiner and Chris Bender of Good Fear Content, and the original producers of It Follows, David Kaplan, Erik Rommesmo, Rebecca Green, Laura Smith.
On its theatrical release in 2014 It Follows grossed $15 million domestically and became an instant modern horror classic.
