Eric Andre and his writing team brought whippets, Reggie Watts and a first look at season 6 of ‘The Eric Andre Show’ to Ethers Follies at SXSW.

This was a very early sneak peek at Season 6 which doesn’t appear on Adult Swim until June 4th but they treated the SXSW crowd to multiple clips and even two episodes. It has been almost 2 plus years since the show has dropped fresh episodes so it was a real treat to get a glimpse into the deranged mind of the cast and writers to see what is in store for us this coming June.

The celebrity guests lined up for season 6 include Cypress Hill, Meagan Good, Rico Nasty, Lil Yachty, Lil Has X, Jaleel White, Blac Chyna, Jon Hamm, Raven Simone, Diplo, Natasha Lyonne, Waka Flocka, Flame and a few others sprinkled in.

The one guest that you won’t see appearing on the show is Chet Hanks. Not because he didn’t appear on the show, but that his episode was so fucking crazy they decided not to air it. Dubbed by Eric Andre as his “least favorite guest.” Andre also revealed one way they were able to get certain guest to agree to do the show was to tell them they were doing a late night talk show, not ‘The Eric Andre Show.’ Which explains a lot when the guest come out and seem immediately confused or concerned.

One notable difference for season 6 is Hannibal Buress, who left the show because he felt like there was too big of a gap since the last season to jump back in to the mix. He will be replaced by Felipe Esparza who did a short standup set as part of the showcase and slayed the audience. The “Fridge Keeper” will also serve as co-host during a very special Christmas episode but it will also pop-up in other places. It’s a strange take on ‘Tales From the Crypt’s’ Crypt Keeper character. But instead of living in a crypt sharing horrific tales, he lives inside a freeze. Because of course.
